I don't even bother with the xbox anymore. I want to, but I drive and have kids so I don't have the time or energy.

I was around 12-13 when halo came out. That pistol caused arguments. I would play with my adult brother-in-law and his friends. He would have Lan parties and what not. I remember, as a preteen mind you, having grown men yelling at me that I must be cheating or screen watching or something. It got to the point that I was put on my own TV in my own room to play them. After that, I remember my brother-in-law dieing laughing because his friend, a grown ass man, got so angry he just packed up his xbox and left.

Sorry. This is just bringing back memories.

No worries, fren. Glad you are only a couple years older than me, and have kids that take your mind off the shitshow that is online gaming. Working on that side of the equation myself.

I never got "pack up and leave" angry with my friends. I had a Mario Golf Gamecube tourney in my basement once, some of the most non-alcoholic fun that anybody below the legal age could have asked for. I think I got smoked the first round, but I just let it carry on.

I'm just glad I could reminisce briefly with another person. You keep doing you, because I couldn't ever head glitch or peek advantage what you have going for you.

You two sound just like me, I was a a clan leader in Halo2/3 and co leader for MW 1/2.

And now I just want slower paced games and have been trying my hand at grand strategy games like Endless Legend and Total War: Warhammer.

Edit also getting into sims like Amerocan Truck Sim, feels good to drive around delivering things listening to podcasts
