But reductionist to paint all contemporary architecture with the same brush.
There are plenty of contemporary buildings that are great. This market / housing estate in Rotterdam is a really nice place to be in

I dunno. Kind feels like you're a hamster in a cage. Ths space is grand, but the cartoon shape of the thing doesn't really sing the praises of your evolutionary past.

It's well lit I suppose, but I wouldn't want to feel like I'm living in aquarium every day. Bright colors have to be used in moderation or it becomes tiresome, e.g. the stain glass windows contrasted against the dark stone walls of a cathedral. There's a postmodern building at the university I attended that is covered in vivid primary colors. After one semester with several classes scheduled there, I wanted to beat a clown to death.

I was thinking Dubai has some interesting architecture that isn't offensive.

It is because real talent had been purged in the name of "diversity" and "women's empowerment".
Things like this should be a warning, the canary in a coal mine as it were. Companies don't fill quotas starting with important jobs, they start with meaningless busy work.
It is never enough with (((them))), so the real damage will start when actual workers get replaced with urban scholars and stunning-and-brave waymans. Remember kids, they need advantages because of how equal we are.

What do you think of Mid century modern, that was based on space exploration?

I wouldn't be able to recognize it. Nothing past art deco is my thing.

Look up Mid century modern buildings. They where built by people who thought they were going to witness sace travel.
