*"The study was posted on an online site for researchers and has has not been reviewed by other scientists. *Grants from the National Institutes of Health and the University of Virginia paid for the work."
This says it all, no need to go further. Bunch of baloney

One of the reporters at the press conference was fear mongering about HCQ, saying it was killing people in trials etc.. He was almost obsessive about it.

Brazil had an HCQ trial too....and they stopped giving it because they were overloading critical patients with very high doses.

So overdosing them which would finish off anyone, no matter what the medication was.. I've read that zinc needs to be used in conjunction with HCQ to make sure it enters the blood cells or something like that..
It's funny, I have a neighbour who is a critical nurse. A couple of weeks ago, she was called to 'the front line' here in the UK. Not sure where about though. I joined a conversation between her and another neighbour last weekend. The other neighbour was asking how things were going etc, nurse was saying that there were about 100 people they were looking after but seemed very vague about it all which made me think she was plucking numbers out of her head. The big temporary hospitals we see on TV are all empty, even the media is commenting on that so I didn't really believe what she was saying. Another reason was that she seems to be spending much of her time at home with her kids so things can't be that critical.. Her car has been parked next to mine for pretty much the whole time and it hasn't moved. As I'm at home, I can see who is driving in and out here.
Anyway, the other neighbour went into 20 questions about the care and in a break from the questioning, I asked if the doctors were using HCQ to help these people. The nurse said no in a confused way but the other neighbour shot down my question because 'that's what Trump keeps going on about'. Full blown TDS in action.
That said it all to me. I wonder whether the nurse has been instructed to 'exaggerate' the situation because there is no situation in the first place. And as for the other neighbour, it's incredible how ignorant people can be and they think they're informed and that they know what they're talking about when they clearly don't because 'Orange Man Bad'. They've even gone as far as banning the cleaner from cleaning the hallway because they're petrified of catching something..
Rather oddly, the nurse walked past my window afterwards and happened to glance in, saw me and gave me a very odd look. The next conversation might be quite interesting. Recently I've been dropping 'controversial' ideas which might have spread so I've been getting funny looks from everyone..!

Been in the VA system for 51 years. That is the last place I would go for Covid-19 treatment or for most other serious issues. Been screwed too many times by the bastards. Just can't trust em.
[–] quantum1234 [S] ago
I have lost relatives in that system that would have survived anywhere else...

this is what was actually cited in the study!
" Our study cohort comprised only men whose median age was over 65 years. Therefore, the results may not
necessarily reflect outcomes in women or in younger hospitalized populations, nor can they be
extrapolated to pediatric patients. Our findings may also be influenced by the demographic
composition of patients in our cohort, the majority of whom were black. Disproportionately
higher rates of Covid-19-related hospitalization among the black population have also been
reported in the United States as a whole.

Quantum
I just spent about 45 minutes going over the "study" (27 page pdf, downloadable easily) and will add these observations ...
First off, this is NOT a Veterans Administration study.
These 'researchers' took available data from VA records all over the country, applied 'code numbers' which indicate various procedures that each patient experienced, and then came up with these remotely-derived conclusions.
From Table #2 in the 'study', the majority of patients were black men (~65%), who were between 68 and 70 years old, and were DIABETIC at a rate of 55% (no complications), to 78% (with complications.
One 'researcher' - Dr. Jayakrishna Ambata - has patents pending to Covid 19 matters, as is stated in the footnotes.
Seems like a HIGHLY skewed effort to demonize hydroxychloroquine/Z pack.
[–] quantum1234 [S] ago
Very skewed, I posted it because big pharma doesn't want us to know that HCQ works and Gates wants a vaccine! They used the smallest sample of very sick people to push their fake news!

All bullshit HCQ disinformation. Man, are they panicked. It's a case of unintended consequences on their part. They never figured POTUS would hit them with HCQ. When the bastards launched this bioterrorism attack they never contemplated all the boomerangs coming their way. Just today at the presser the MSM were whining and crying about the POTUS ban on immigration.

agree all BS!...notice how it was the first trial published...meanwhile I heard most patients in NY are treated with HCQ...
