Saw it last week. Spacing about length of a beer bottle held at arm's length. Says pass a fixed reference point about every 20 seconds. I lost count of how many I watched pass.

So how do satellites glow now? Space launches are easy to track, that's the only time they are that close. They maneuver into positions after that.

They don’t glow, but around dawn and dusk they can be seen against a darker sky because they are still illuminated by the sun due to their altitude. It’s similar to the phenomenon of noctilucent clouds.
