tractor supply has coal. cheap. but unavailable for shipping in AZ w/o extra $$$%. sucks. coal forging can change mild steel to high carbon..

i learned using coal nuggets from the mobile farrier back in the early 80's. ive tried the hardwood charcoal here, didnt like it.. too 'sparky' & burns up super fast compared to good coked-down anthracite. propane is what im stuck with for now
