Prophecy, what a crock of shit. I can make a prediction too, and my prediction is as valid as any other, it may or may not come true. If it's God's plan then he has the ability to change his mind. If you're an atheist then, there is always chance and deviation, possibility and probability, nothing is ever set in stone. Either way your argument is not sustainable.

The Bible is like no other book in the world. It is filled with internal evidence that it is the Word of God. No other religion has a book filled with prophecies fulfilled one right after the other. The few books that have even attempted this have been proven to be written by false prophets who cannot foretell the future. But you can trust in the Bible, which is the true Word of God, who proves that He is the Author of it by fulfilled prophecies. As He said more than 2700 years ago.

Once upon a long time ago, several Hebrew prophets predicted that the Syrian capital city of Damascus would someday cease to exist as a city.

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Damascus was reduced to a ruinous heap right before your eyes. September 5, 2016

If you believe in the Bible, then you have to also believe that God can change his mind, he can change outcomes. By stating otherwise would mean you do not believe God is in control. It would mean you believe that everything is fixed and nothing can be changed. Even if everything in the Bible has predicted every event in history, it doesn't mean the ending is fixed. You do not know the future because you do not know the mind of God.
