Agreed!! I was thinking it actually highlights who the free thinkers are and who are the sheep. If the DS wanted to know just check the grocery stores. We even saw a family walking in the park and a woman running—running—what an idiot because all she’s going to do is create moisture and trap mold then suck it down her lungs and boom her worst nightmare happens - Cv19! Common sense and courtesy is all that’s required. Ugh sorry it just irritates me!

having worked with patients in a hospital, you wear a mask to protect yourself when you go into a room with an infectious (or assumed infectious) patient to protect yourself, or when you're doing a procedure to protect the patient from you. in 10 years i never caught anything from a patient. it really is about knowing what you've touched and being hyper-vigilant about keeping clean contact areas. these people wearing masks while driving in their cars alone, riding their bikes, is absurd.
I never wear a mask even at the grocery store. I notice nobody is coughing and sneezing or has runny noses lately, perhaps the last few weeks of time off and self-care has improved basic health.

I disagree.
I live in HK, only 4 deaths.
Because of masks.

What's the proof that it's because of masks? I never wear one and I don't have it. Is that the counter proof that we don't need one? Another question - coronavirus is a FAMILY of viruses. What evidence do we have that these tests single out the "deadly" Covid-19 from the other, benign coronavirus that is the common cold? The fact that this is a very important point that the media all but ignores tells me all I need to know. It's all about scaring us - the sheep. Obey and we will keep you safe.

My answer? Doesn't hurt to wear, right?
Not about pride, about practical.

Covid-19 was never isolated. You are on the right track.

Me, too. I work as an RN in an inpatient hospice unit where we were getting patients directly from ICU where there were known Covid positive patients in adjacent rooms. They weren’t testing our patients for the virus before sending them to us. Very few of my coworkers were wearing masks until this past week and were somewhat contemptuous of those of us who did, because we had no positive cases. Now one of my coworkers just tested positive and another has a persistent cough and keeps taking her temp.
