I would hope that there's a way for those who exceed BMI's "healthy" range due to muscle and not fat to slide by with evidence of a doctor's opinion. But then that would open the door for shady "HAES-friendly" "doctors" to poke extra-large holes in the kiwis' firewall.

There's every chance they'll only look at BMI if it looks like they need to. So it could be that they wouldn't even bother with it for a muscular man or woman as it's clear they are in good health.

Canada has a lot of fat people in it, but border security is very critical of people with health conditions (so fat consequences, etc) coming across their borders, because they may try to take advantage of the health care and strain the system.

Over half of New Zealand adults and nearly one-third of New Zealand children are already overweight or obese, according to the group. Those figures are expected to rise, as are the health problems associated with being overweight, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
...uh...you sure about that?

They do in Aus. Know someone who can't get it because of her weight. She was telling me about it and I think I upset her by not being sympathetic enough. Professional environment so had to play nice.
