Todd is the most typical of American men. His proportions are based on averages from CDC anthropometric data. As a U.S. male age 30 to 39, his body mass index (BMI) is 29; just one shy of the medical definition of obese.
Sedentary lifestyles also mean that a BMI of 29 today probably has more fat than a BMI of 29 from 20 years ago. Even at the same BMI we are getting fatter.

The fact that most people are fucking obese (the "average") does not make it right. Goddamn butter golems trying to spread their unhealthy lifestyles to feel better about themselves.

I wonder what the average height differences have to do with different in ethnic make ups. Netherlands is overwhelmingly white and in the US white men are tallest on average, black men are just slightly shorter, and hispanic men are several inches shorter.
Also, men lie about their height. They lie like nothing else and a lot of these average heights are just based on what people claim their height is. So, color me skeptical about all of it.

When I was on OkC, a number of dates actually started with the girl being glad I didn't lie about my height.

This is why I refuse to describe any of us as "thin." You're not "thin", you're normal. Thin should be used for borderline anorexic.

And of course the comments are full of fatties trying to espouse their "healthy fat" bullshit. Luckily there are shitlords who stepped up to set the records straight.
