Don't shame people for their carts. You need to remember it's an education problem. The food industry is vested in keeping grain and sugar sales up. That's why it tried so hard (and succeeded) in killing off adkins and other low carb diets in the early 2000s.
People have been duped, and it's sad, but it is mostly an education problem more than anything.

I always try and look angry when I am shopping so no one talks to me.

I live in AZ so we have Safeway and Fry's (Kroger). This also means they use the points system for gas rewards. Since gas is something that I see as a necessary evil ( I have kids and they need to get to sports etc) then I figure I might as well figure out the gas rewards system to save some $$ while buying my food.
Anyway. My cart ends up looking like a butcher shop sale gone wrong. I have all the keto foods and then some stuff for the kids. People must think I am a mixture of a psycho butcher lover and a cereal binge eater. Plus the cart is over the top full when I leave since weekends are double points I tend to buy as much as I can at once. Also I get plenty of gift cards to McDonalds... Sounds horrible, but at 4x points and the kids love the nugs the wife and I can get a burger sans bun and feel ok about it.
Sorry that was Fry's Food. Safeway does this thing where you get 20cents off a gallon if you spend $20. They do it ever week or so. So I go in and buy $20 worth of frozen raw tuna steaks. Those things are awesome just raw (thawed) or just seared. At about $5 each I can only imagine what people think when they see me at the checkout with 4-5 of those bad boys freezing my arms off.

I do this to myself. I buy a lot of my produce at the farmers market during the summer, so when I'm at the grocery store, it looks like I don't eat produce and I secretly hope people don't judge me for it. Maybe I'm just a little neurotic... :)

We're in Utah and have never been visibly shopping cart shamed, ever, in 2 years. If someone pipes up, they're gonna hear about low carb and is probably going to end up running off in a tizzy, not us.
Don't worry about it! bring your verbal ammo and keto wisdom AND results if so!

Definitely. I've never been shamed by anyone, I just see shit in people's cart and judge them, so I wonder if anyone ever judges me... Dairy and meat! :) at least it's not processed garbage!

I see people eating and I look at what they're eating and it doesn't even register as "food" to me. I see overweight, pudgy, chubby, tired, unhealthy people eating their muffins and their breads and I just can't help but cringe.
