Except when it's higher quality overall, can be broken down quickly into 2 pieces, has a lifetime warranty, looks better, has a better trigger, has a better barrel, is more accurate, is more reliable, is more configurable with accessories, has ambi mag release capabilities, and can be configured to use magazines compatible with three different handguns, including double stack 9mm glock mags of any size, including the baby mags from the G26. Also, it's not a HiPoint.
You get what you pay for.

What you explained is not an entey level carbine.

It is now that Ruger sells one, often for under $600. Besides, the HiPoint is, and always has been, a sub entry level carbine.
