Others were dumping stock too - not Congress Critters, but CEO's! There was an article showing one CEO dumping BILLION$ - Bezos for one, supposedly to fund his SpaceX rocket company! He DOES have a history of selling BILLION$ so might not be nefarious, but could be!

Worth noting: In 2012, Burr was one of only three senators to oppose a bill that would explicitly bar members of Congress and their staff from using non-public information for personal benefit, including stock-trading

It was definitely more money than I'll ever see..

1.7 million shares for $3.49 billion as of Feb 6 .

Within one week after Trump instated the China travel ban.

Didn't Martha Stewart go to prison for something like this?

Yes. It’s illegal for you or I to trade on inside info. But it’s 100% legal for Congress to do it.

That’s not hyperbole or fake news. It’s verifiably true.

It used to be. I thought they closed that loophole a few years ago now. I'll have to recheck to verify.

It’s verifiably true.

No, it's not. Congress members haven't been exempt from securities laws since 2012.
