The previous generation royally fucked things up for Millenials.

Could you elaborate? I'm thinking you could be going banks here, or maybe government?

Millennials can blame the parents for their fate ... the push for big government by them has placed the government ins massive debt with the policies they have implemented have chased jobs and capital from this country and thus the lousy prospects millennial face.
And as we see with the debt .. the bill for the children and grandchildren has come due because when a government spends beyond it means, the people must live below their means to pay it off

I agree that big government and debt are the issue, but I would add that priorities are a major problem too. When I hear about a governor cutting education and funding a stadium I wonder about the direction of the funds, not just the amount.

While millenials may be more educated (more college grads), they are more poorly educated. The increased numbers of unprepared and underqualified college entrants has lead to grade inflation and reduced levels of competency and expertise. While not the sole factor, it remains significant in determining their earning power.

I would definitely agree with this statement, grade inflation is real and it's a problem when quality isn't very standardized across classes and institutions.
