She is the Queen of Heaven.

Not found anywhere in the Bible.

I suggested she pray a few potent Hail Mary’s

Not found anywhere in the Bible.

she says, “Oh, no, I go straight to Jesus, I don’t need Mary.”

A very BIBLICAL response. We pray to God the Father, through the Son Jesus.

why are people so weird about her?

It's a huge red flag for someone that has read the New Covenant Bible and believes that it alone is God's final Word to man. It's our standard of truth. Mary is the equivalent of an idol, something other than Jesus, that is being worshiped and revered in a high place.

The "Queen Mary" and prayer to Mary stuff is not preached in the Gospel anywhere. Galatians 1:8 warns us to not add anything to the Gospel. I see people take bits and pieces of interactions with Mary in the Bible out of context and build a whole religious doctrine out of it that simply wasn't ever actually in there. You've got to first KNOW the truth written in God's Word, then you'll recognize anything doesn't match up to that truth.

Jesus Christ told you who His mother is, it's NOT Mary.

Your "veneration" (worship) of Mary is based on the Flesh.

The Mary you worship is symbolic of the Catholic church itself. You worship the church rather than God. You have her name on your forehead rather than His.

She is NOT the queen of heaven.

“‘Come out of her, my people

so that you will not share in her sins,

so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

for her sins are piled up to heaven,

and God has remembered her crimes.

Give back to her as she has given;

pay her back double for what she has done.

Pour her a double portion from her own cup.

Give her as much torment and grief

as the glory and luxury she gave herself.

In her heart she boasts,

‘I sit enthroned as queen.

I am not a widow;

I will never mourn.’

Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:

death, mourning and famine.

She will be consumed by fire,

for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

The rosary is also not of Jesus. Jesus himself told you how to pray.

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one."

If you loved Him, you would keep His commands.
