They should give these away for free with a limit per customer. Every time Amazon tries to sell something that helps itself, they fall flat. Look at the Fire Phone, with built in firefly scanning to quickly scan and order items from Amazon! 1 click ordering is neat, but I would never pay money for the privilege. I wouldn't pay for a physical 1 click button either.

I think they were free at first. We have three of them and I don't remember there being a fee. Maybe that was just the first month or something. Too bad they're charging now.
I think Amazon has done pretty well with the Kindle.

Terrible idea for the consumer. My 2 year old loved the clicking sound from the ON switch for my Sony PC, he clicked it until it stopped making the sound. It stopped because the motherboard fried.
What happens if mister clicky likes pressing an order button? Bad idea!

Yep, it has child protection features built in to prevent an order from going through if there is already an order being processed.

for home use this seems really stupid, but for businesses however, i can see this actually being useful. what if a book retailer is running low on a specific book, and can order it via a simple button click, or if a chef is running out of potato, for example. though, if a business didn't expect that while checking stock, then they need to rethink their ordering strategy.
