Well we have guns now, unless some dude has the armstrength of Beowulf I can't see any knife snipers in the future.

My dad and I made a knife and pellet range in our basement when I was just a wee lad. I only messed up the plaster once.
He had me throw from several distances and made lines on the ground where i could stand and my default rotation would end with the blade entering correctly. It was up to me to figure out how to make them stick from the areas in between and eventually trying no-spin like I'd see on TV.
You just brought back a flood of memories.

You must be white. Sounds like you had a good dad. I hope he was similar is the other aspects of parentage.

Of course we're white, I had a dad and a house! I remember learning that the old Stretch Armstrong (with the thick syrup inside) was more or less pellet-proof unless you hit the edge of his arm "skin".

Check out Flying Steel. The Talisman is AWESOME. But for your wallets sake, Cold Steel Sure Balance and True Flight Thrower. With the TFT you can work on Fedin style and the Sure Balance you can do Ralph Thorn. For Mumyou-Ryu style you need something a little different. Specialized. Its hard. Really hard. Instead of throwing, its almost like pushing the knife.
