That's basically how I met Georgie the dairy farmer. Drunk and lost, saw a truck in a field. Georgie was passed out in it, waiting to being in the cows. Knocked on window, got to talking, split a 12 pack, and now we go hang out every winter up by Superior and go snowmobiling.

We went out on the sleds last winter up near Iron River.

We hit the tavern for lunch, and we left. One of our group left their cell phone plugged in, and shot back after about 10 minutes, so we stopped on side of road to wait for him for the 20 minutes or so for him to go fetch his phone.

EVERY SINGLE person, EVERY SINGLE one, stopped and checked on us if we were OK or needed help during those 20 minutes.

You can have your city life and hubbub of activity. I'll take rural Midwest every day of the week, and thrice on Sundays. They each have their pros and cons, I just prefer one over the other. By a lot.
