I think that as a general rule people don't have a right to housing, in the same way you can't help a drug addict by giving them money you can't solve homelessness by giving homes. You will create the worst kind of slums.. I think there should be more temporary shelters so that people don't have to sleep in the street, and as a basic platform for them to get there lives in order, and wash clothes prepare food, but people have to what to do it for themselves,
Id rather have a fist full of opportunity than a truckload of socialism.

No one has a right to housing. There are communities all over the U.S. where you can purchase a home for next to nothing. Are you saying people can't save $600 or less, a little extra for bus fare, and aren't willing to do some DIY or find a job elsewhere? There are so many jobs available at the moment, no one should be unemployed and wages have never been better. It took me seconds.
If someone has lost everything due to fire or natural disaster, or everything due to a downturn in the economy, then yes, a safety net is required, but if people are insisting they want to live in California specifically, and can't afford a home, why should the tax payer pay for it?

that statement is whats wrong with humanity.

No, he's right. If people are given things for free they don't learn to appreciate anything and quickly they feel entitled to everything. This is anti-evolutionary and creates useless stupid people with no motivation who think they have a right to be a burden to others. Victim mentality on steroids. I was probably attacked by the homeless people because they're psychotic and know they can get away with it because of idiots who feel sorry for them and protect them and call me the bad guy for getting in the way of their swinging fists. This is why socialism destroys societies - it's an anti-social situation.

Good thing I'm not a communist ... but then, communism and socialism represent the worst of humanity. Perhaps you would like to elaborate on why those working should provide homes to people who do not want to, or illegals? That's the socialist position.

It's more than being homeless. A large portion of these people are mentally ill and need supervision and medical/mental help. I've been attacked by homeless people on three occasions, once time in my car sitting at a light - for doing absolutely nothing. They were the aggressor. Same thing happened to a friend. A homeless person attacked his car and when he pushed the homeless man away, he called the cops and had the guy arrested. I think they're going to have to set up a few mental institutions where these people can get treatment/rehabilitation as either an in-patient or outpatient.

Right. The Dems are experts at playing favorites with any group of people who can bring society down faster. Hence their love of trannies, degenerates, pedophiles, criminals and illegals. F*ck their victims.

Americans are so batshit insane now that they commit three felonies a day and scream for more laws.
Americans think giving their fingerprints to the government, DUI laws, checkpoints, seatbelt laws, car liability insurance laws, neighborhood watch groups, "get tough on crime" politicians, laws allowing mandatory minimums, IMBRA, 3 strikes laws, curfews, police militarization, teen boot camps, school metal detectors, private prisons, chain gangs, nanny state laws, the Patriot Act, NSA wiretapping, no knock raids, take down notices, no fly lists, terror watch lists, Constitution free zones, stop and frisk, kill switches, National Security Letters, DNA databases, kill lists, FBAR, FATCA, Operation Chokepoint, TSA groping, civil forfeiture, CIA torture, NDAA indefinite detention, secret FISA courts, FEMA camps, laws requiring passports for domestic travel, IRS laws denying passports for tax debts, gun and ammo stockpiles, laws outlawing protesting, Jade Helm, sneak and peek warrants, policing for profit, no refusal blood checkpoints, license plate readers, redlight cameras, speed cameras, FBI facial and voice recognition, tattoo databases, gun bans, the end to the right to silence, free speech bans, searches without warrants, CISPA, SOPA, private prison quotas, supermax prisons, FOSTA, sex offender registration laws, sex offender restriction laws, and the police state are just a funny little game.
If you escaped Cambodia in 1977 then you might take tyranny more seriously.

YOU COULD BE homeless due to the criminal political class teaming up with the banks to create more housing crises.
[–] Specific_Fox ago
I get that. Some are normal people without a job. But many are not. And I think we're going to see a lot of bankers in jail. They can't be allowed to continue.

Hunger and needing shelter are motivators to work. I can see helping disabled and Vets,
everyone else needs to just get off their dead ass and get a job. I was homeless once and also spent time living
in Ark. with no hot water and a small sink in the 1/2 bath. I had to heat water to eat, bathe and etc.
I worked my way out. I got zero welfare. I earned a M.Ed by working my butt off while attending school.
I have zero education debt.
Lazy no-loads will always try to skim the cream from someone's cup. They don't respect anything they get for nothing.

We need a wall around California, or deport all the illegal scumbags...
