My best friend has a story that sounds remarkably similar to yours. He worked for Microsoft since the early 2000s. He said at first it was a lot of fun. Then it just devolved into the lowest common denominator. Red tape and bureaucracy killed the employee morale.

Every single thing I learned is useless. The most expensive/difficult certs are useless in three years or less. It never ends. And for what? It all led to Facebook and Twitter and the shit show we have now.
