Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.

I perfectly get what you mean, for example, Floyd Mayweather is often played off as some sort of mysterious character, but in fact, when he speaks all he can say is a few retarded sentences like "it was exciting, Im big money man". The TRUTH is that he is retarded and not powerful as a person, it's the jew entourage that give him power. In fact, this is the ONLY way low IQ people such as niggers can maintain their image and position of power, because if they exchanged in lengthy dialogue and speeches, such as Herr Hitler did, they would be exposed for who they are, idiots and leeches unworthy of power. But this in fact is the truth of the current era, most people in power are evil psyschos or plain yes-men idiots who are serving the darkness, and act as useful idiots. Celebrity Niggers, Angela Merkel, and other famous person pushing the agenda go into this box.. What YOU can do about it is spread your own truth, in a wise and useful manner. But don't just blabber constantly, do your research and be ambitious, so that when you DO speak, you are not doing it for reasons of vanity just to get attention, you are speaking from the heart, but remember you have to be pragmatic as our enemies are not playing fair and care not for truth. We live in reality, so we are forced to follow the laws of physics so to speak. Our enemies are not playing fair and use propaganda and brainwashing to spread lies. The common man(most people) is swayed by emotions more than logic.

The Good leader makes speeches to share carefully researched beliefs that he spent effort studying, to spread values and beliefs he carries in his heart, beliefs he would bleed for. The bad leader makes speeches based on empty words to sway people, words he does not believe in and has no knowledge about, they are sophists. The stupid leader then does not speak at all or only speaks short sentences, or reads from a script if he has to. He is the useful idiot.

Who are you interacting with that this has become an issue?

Looking smarter from not talking can be a thing - insecure people, those who have something to prove, people who are full of shit etc, can never shut the fuck up.

Knowing when to listen is very important.

Paying attention is important.

Situational awareness is important.

“Larping as wise”, “wisdomfagging”, honestly, I can only imagine. It sounds kind of far out there. Listening is important, don’t let some retards discourage you.

Many people seem to have opinions on everything or want to put their two cents in, regardless of whether they know anything about the topic or not. It seems to me that the majority of people are low information, or at least venture outside their very narrow area of 'expertise'. These people need to learn how to shut the fuck up as they contribute nothing to conversation. It is a legitimate problem, especially in the era of social media.

I believe what you encountered was likely one of these but has learned to cover it up with fake 'wisdom' in the form of old maxims. This guy didn't have anything of value to say so instead chose to attempt to flex on your intellect by repeating what was done to him. Consider his motivation for doing it. He has likely been made to feel stupid or ignorant in the past and is coping with his ego issues by doing the same to others. He should have learned to be informed or at least engage his brain before he speaks, but that requires too much effort. This is easier and makes him feel like a big brain.
