that is because they specifically measure out 3 months worth of hair for the test to be 'fair' to everyone. They can test back as long as your hair is long, but people with short haircuts generally don't have anything longer than pubic/ arm pit hair.

You can test any hair. Aimpit, leg, pubic, arm, whatever. I think it has to be a certain length to be considered acceptable though.

Yeah, it brought the movie Gattaca to mind where the main character has to scrub himself down to avoid DNA detection, but I couldn't remember the name of it and didn't care to go quite that far in depth with my comment. Anyway high politicians get a bit a special treatment straight from the Constitution plus they write the laws, so I can't imagine anything like this ever passing, but it would be pretty great if they ever did let it through.
