Maybe you're just not that intelligent.
I, and many of my friends here, have found it futile to "believe" in ideas. Concepts are a much more reliable construct to work off, and much more applicable to the usage of heuristics whilst analyzing a variety of datasets.
I'm still trying to deal with the whole "we live in a 2-Dimensional universe" thing, and that as a Christian I believe in the supernatural forces at work like Angel's and Demons, whilst my factual knowledge of ancient history/mythology/theology leads me to the belief that extraterrestrials who were capable of travelling through doorways between worlds have visited humanity since our beginning and that they used to live amongst us to teach us until these angels/watchers/annunaki/"gods" took God's glory for themselves, and also got a lot rapey (Talking about you Zeus), so God smited them, and their kids cause they were just giant shits too, and that Atlantis was real and that it's kings were the Ancient Egyptian/Sumerian predeluvian kings, who actually ruled for about 30,000 years a piece (biblical datings in English are based off a translation of the Hebrew which involves counting the years of a reign as weeks, which means Adam lived like 43800 years), who are actually a direct lineage of Adam because Thoth is Enoch.
And I'm not sure why any of that matters because our universe is still just a single quantum string-brane thing... so I don't know why it's worth getting that involved in an idea, when the most apt description of the universe is that it's a Vinyl Record and we're where the needle hits the vinyl.

Was an upvote, then turned into a downvote for your blasphemy regarding years.
Although know that the speed of light is slowing down, so both "carbon dating" and "Hebrew year" can be accurate!
