Over the last many decades the rights and freedoms of the American people have been chipped away by corrupt judges who used excuses like the constitution is a "living document" or "outdated". We need to scrape off all these "reinterpretations" and get back to "it means what it says".

Exactly Patriot, I totally agree, and great point.
[–] blk-knight 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
why would you change what our founding fathers wanted? Something stinks here.
[–] LakotaPride [S] 1 point -1 points 0 points (+0|-1) ago
Great point Patriot, yes it does, they want to get rid of the Constitution and what our founding Fathers wanted, time for them to be stuffed and cuffed and shipped to GTMO, we the people have had enough of their crap.

The Electors will be freed. The election of the President is a federal election. Federal elections are controlled by the federal Constitution and laws of the United States, not controlled by the State Constitutions. State laws forcing the electors in the state to vote for anyone in particular ie; the popular vote winner in their state or the national popular vote winner if they passed that type of law which is what they would have to do if they join the NPV compact. The word elector means the same thing Constitutionally in regard to voting for Representatives, Senators or for President. The ONLY difference is in order to vote for President you must get appointed to be a 12th Amendment Elector according to the Manner chosen by your State. Think about this, if States could force an Elector to vote for a specific person in one federal election , they would would be only 1 piece of legislation away from telling all Electors how they must vote in all federal elections. There is a lot more buttressing my arguement, those details will have to wait.

Great post Patriot and that's how the SCOTUS should rule, but we know these judges have pulled some serious crap in the past, so until we get ruling. we can not take anything for granted.

This case is actually a good thing because it would really hurt democrat corruption and their quest to abolish the electoral collage if it turns out the way I see it going. Something that should be noted about these three Washington state electors, they were from eastern Washington that was solidly pro Trump thus they were NOT faithless electors like the liberal dog shit in Seattle and Olympia would have everyone believe.
[–] LakotaPride [S] 1 point 3 points 4 points (+4|-1) ago
Patriot this is pure democrat crap, if your state is win by one candidate, and the state gives the vote to the other, they just removed the vote of the people. meaning not only is the State not representing the will if the people, but also removed your right to vote. only makes sense to Demsoncrack I suspect.
[–] samesame55 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
What would be the point of voting at all if the electors get to vote for anyone THEY wish and not the majority vote of their state? Might as well stay home in that case....there is no meaningful vote at all
[–] tjliberty69 ago (edited ago)
Don't take this wrong. You, and all of us frankly have been misled about our voting in November. If you look at your State's election laws you will find language stating in effect that: A vote by a person for a specific presidential candidate will not count as a vote for that candidate for President but rather will count as a vote for the Electors of President nominated by the party of that candidate.
The President and Vice President are voted for by the 12th Amendment Electors in December. Their votes are not counted until January by the President of the Senate in front of both Houses of Congress. It is true your vote does not count as a vote for President. This does not devalue your vote because your vote for those Electors determines which parties Electors then vote for President. Generally party Electors vote for their parties candidates, not always though as evidenced by the cases referred to in the article linked in this post.

Exactly, Patriot, they are simply removing the vote of the people and no longer represent the will of the people from that state. sounds like Demsoncrack.

Rally numbers alone tell US that Trump will win the pop vote in November by a MAGA landslide, yet he will defend the E Collage with all hands.. BECAUSE it's part of the Constitution [which these NWO global ghouls have been trying to shred for decades].
Rallies don't prove that. Hillary's crowds were so pathetic she stopped allowing media to film them. She won the popular vote nationally via two states, California and New York. 3 million votes. This is what they are going for... A popular vote.
[–] LakotaPride [S] 1 point 0 points 1 point (+1|-1) ago
It works now, Patriot, what gives the state to right to nullify the will of the people from that State ? that is Election fraud right in your face.
[–] ButtersThatsMe 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
This is the way the Dems cheat
[–] LakotaPride [S] 1 point -1 points 0 points (+0|-1) ago
Exactly Patriot, another way to steal votes.
