I'm going to hope the ridiculous SJW movement ends by then. But that won't happen unless there's a serious regime change.

Simple: Voat's structure makes it much easier to communities to migrate if powermods take over and deal with brigades. That and the admins aren't crazy. Between those two things SJWs are toothless.

I think that having clear and simple rules that are applied to everyone equally (as possible) would go a long way, it looks to me (and this could just be 2 sides spinning things to look better) that part of reddit's problem was it started changing rules part way though the game. Also having some sort of accountability for mods perhaps if mods could hide comments in some way that allows normal users to see them if they go looking? A bit like /r/undelete but within each subverse could help. It might work well as another tab on the top after the hot/new/top buttons. That would help keep it from being taken over but they need to keep innovating if they want to stay relevant, they have made some good changes so far but if something else comes along that just has a better way of doing things (ex. myspace->facebook) then people will still leave.

Make it that each comment is a micropayent which gets donated to a mens rape charity. The more they complain about white men the more funding they raise for white men.

Where are things getting bad over there? The communities I go to are pretty much the same. Same dumb, smug puns. Same dumb use of downvoting for merely disagreeing.

Let them speak. That's the point of Voat. Just don't allow them to censor or intimidate anyone. If they do, ban them. Problem solved.

Limit downvoats significantly 10-100x to avoid brigading

Subs already have tools to limit downvoats, but I'd like to see more

Make downvoats bound to IP addresses

Already done

I thinking having voats weighted by reputation points would help....the orginial users/early adapters and conspiracy theorists who detected censorship earlier at Reddit should get more rep points and we she have the ability to down voat the rep points of those who act as shills....then when a brigade of shill robots come over here we can keep them with low voat power for longer and each one of our voats counts as more...it is meritocratic as opposed to one voat per shill (democratic), no matter how low IQ the shill has proven himself to be,

therefore when we see gullible people who believe the government propaganda on ISiS hook-line sinker...we can keep those gullible or shillples from gaining power here....then when we want to have TPP on the frontpage...it can be so....when we want information linking the US government to ISIS on the frontpage...it can be so.

it is possible that Voat is already too controlled for this to take place...free people will have to make a alternative info community at some point that make sit a little harder for paid corporate propaganda brigades to take over.

I am ACUTELY aware that every time I click I am costing the the voat admins money, and they have no money.

This scares me.

This is why we are in 'invite only' mode..at least in part.

I want to post, comment upvoat etc but .... what is the cost? I know I am not paying apart from my pathetic attempt in producing content.

I want VOAT to succeed but I fear MONEY may kill it in the end?

They have enough money to keep going for the moment, and they have several interested investors. Money isn't the immediate problem. The invite only mode is to keep numbers manageable while they scale up their infrastructure.
