Well, she is right in a sense, but she is really talking about two separate issues. One is abortion regulation, the other is assistance for single mothers, adoptions, etc. Traditionally, Republicans are in favor of non-government charities providing a social safety net as opposed to using tax dollars for everything. Of course, the Daily Kos is going to spin this in the most negative possible light for Republicans, so that kind of thing is not going to be discussed in this article. We could also talk about how Democrat lawmakers are opposed to tax credits and deductions for charitable donations, but that's not going to happen in a Daily Kos article either.

No she is not talking about two separate issues. If we as a nation are going to insist that these children are born, them we owe them food, clothing, shelter, medical care and a good education.

Why would that stun anyone?

It's the same BS some ignorant "progressive" groups have said for decades: if you aren't in favor of government-run X, you're against X.

I'm a progressive but I can't stand that kind.

Except that these are unwanted pregnancies, and what happens to many unwanted children - yup that's right they end up wards of the state or suffer in poverty and even suffer from neglect and abuse.

If you oppose food stamps you hate blacks! No, no, that's not right at all.

Quit saying "stun", headline writers.

I'm not stunned by your fucking article. I also don't find it "jaw dropping". And it's certainly not going to "blow my mind".

Some of these titles feel like the 'trainers hate him' type of bs.
