... a massive waste of time and taxpayer money on the Dems part.
MAYBE NOT. 😅 I am still 50/50 hopeful that in their sinister glee to dig Trump's grave, Schiff, Pelosi, and a good number of their DNC comrades will fall into it and not get out. If this sham impeachment pushes Trump to a landslide next fall and buries the recalcitrant House Democrats in the process, it will be worth every. single. taxpayer. penny!

I've read the legal arguments and definitions. As of tonight, the proper term seems to be "Impeachment pending." It was begun, but hasn't formally finished yet. It is like finishing all the schooling, the records are on file, but no diploma. Did you graduate?
If Pelosi delivers the articles to the Senate, Trump will have been "impeached" even without a trial, because that finalizes the impeachment process. But, if Pelosi delivers the articles to the Senate, she will throw the switch that routes the Trump Train straight through the middle of the Democrat party. It will be a train wreck, and she knows that.
There were only two, and the votes in both cases were bipartisan, not political, because real crimes that matched codified laws on the books were part of the charges. Andrew Johnson faced 11 articles of impeachment; William Jefferson Clinton faced two. Neither man was removed from office by the Senate.
Trump's situation is very different. There is no codified statute for "contempt of congress" It is a made-up crime. The so-called "abuse of power" is fairly nonsensical because the US has a treaty with Ukraine that requires the two countries share information to investigate corruption, therefore merely asking for information is not an "abuse of power." The House vote was purely political.

So dont run away, answer, what are the results of impeachment?
2nd time asked.

Results of the impeachment are he was impeached.

The results of impeachment are that the House of Representatives has officially determined that High Crimes and Misdemeanors occurred, and the findings are referred to the Senate. That is impeachment in its entirety. Only a guilty verdict in a Senate trial removes a person from office.

This is why we are in this position. Stupid people like you don't even understand a simple concept in the US Constitution.
