Thanks for the link. Not very helpful though. He lists a bunch of Open Source programs which is cool, but they are all kinda shitty when it comes down to doing real work. I need to be able to use the industry standard programs.

Eh thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like Linux would push me too far outside my comfort zone. Might still install Linux on my laptop to get acquainted, but the workstation still gonna have to run horrible windows.

Use appdb.winehq.org for checking wine compatibility.
There's also some good open-source apps, like Krita, Inkscape, Blender, etc.
Unity and Unreal supports Linux too.

Ah thanks! It's not looking good though. I would love to be able to say fuck windows 10, but it's a deal breaker if I can't run all the software I need to work.
