before all the hateful comments begin, i hope people realize that (1) the guy in this article does not represent mainstream orthodox judaism. there is no prohibition of men and women sitting next to each other. and (2) the picture used in the publication bears no relationship to the article and was likely selected to incite anger.

He's just using his religion to excuse his child-like behaviour - just like every other theist! ;)

Men or women who refuse to take their purchased seats should be removed from the flight and arrested for causing the disruption. There are laws to cover this. Period.

"It's not sexist if it's the will of the creator"
What a crock of pig shit.
The Jewish god is the same asshole that all of the other idiotic monotheists worship.
I would have switched seats with her just so I could go on at great length about how mush of a fool this "man" was.

Yet if a woman didn't want to sit next to a man she'd likely be accommodated no questions asked. Must be that male privilege.

I know these cowards, they attack women in the street en masse but run like crazy when a man defends the woman. Stupid little boys really.

If that's the case, the divine will is sexist and people who adhere to it should switch to a more tolerant divine will.

You can't blame me for stoning those people to death! It was divine will! It wasn't murder, just adherence to that divine will!

I don't see how this is sexist. This guys wife is just as likely to not sit next to a man.
