You know, I believe you can learn anything you want, anytime you want. I think this is more difficult than just letting a doctor make all your health decisions but I did not grow up in this lifestyle...I incorporated it as I had children, met certain people, and had certain incidents in my life that exposed me to challenging the norms of healthcare. I started my journey in 1969 and the Lord really helped me in my journey. I voraciously read on every topic I wanted to learn about. I guess you just need to be an independent thinker. I will say I had great support groups of people that were making some of the same decisions. That helps tremendously. I also believe there are some natural based doctors (home births) out there if you can just find them. Knowledge is power and freedom. Also, I love medical and health related issues so it was fun learning about so many different ways of healing. BUT it takes very deep conviction because you are going against the medical establishment and the majority of people. I believe some of the most rewarding things in life require the most from you.
