A report from US Attorney John Durham never made any sense.
US Attorney's hold grand juries, then issue indictments when the juries agree that there is sufficient evidence of a crime. Arrests are made, trials are held and the guilty are sentenced. There is no report from a the US Attorney before or after grand juries. Grand Jury testimony is secret, therefore Durham is not in a position to legally release grand jury testimony.
Why would Durham be different?

''Jeff Sessions re: Durham's authority
on Laura Ingraham''' (starts around 26:30)
JS: Laura, the IG can only investigate or interview people now on, the DOJ payroll…
Laura: Given what we know now, what do you hope that Durham actually concludes?
"I know John Durham, I respect him highly, I asked him to do an important matter for me… shortly after becoming AG …he has the power that Mueller has Laura, he has a lot more power than, he can subpoena, he needs to interview all the people involved in this. He has the authority to interview people outside the DOJ…Brennan, Clapper, he can interview all the people at the C_A, the Defense Dept., the State Dept. and figure out exactly what happened here…"

Correct. US Attorneys like Durham don't write reports like IG's do, they investigate, run grand juries, indict and prosecute only. The idea of a 'report' coming from him was ridiculous from the beginning but a good "throw" by AG Barr.
