You can attach two magazines together. Tape is commonly used. They also make specialty clips to attach them. Some magazines are even designed with special parts that attach to other magazines.

You could also modify the weapon to hold more than one at a time, and quickly switch by sliding the next mag into place. This is extremely cumbersome and doesn't work well.

But either way, the idea of "getting around" laws restricting you isn't particularly useful. They just declare what you did to break the law and instantly you're done. Nobody wins by being "technically legal".

Better to just ignore the illegal restriction in the first place.

great points and best thing would be to practice inserting and removing mags until you can do it at ninja level blindfolded in a pitch dark room.

10rd mags are much easier to conceal in regular clothing.

Personally I prefer my Hungarian 20rd AK magazines to my 30rd magazines.

What you are talking about would require some mechanical action to remove the existing magazine and inset a new one.

Currently the human operator is the mechanical action that performs this task.

The additional mechanical components that would have to be added to perform this function. Would add significantly to weight, and size of the weapon in have. Making it harder to use and less likely to be carried.

ya i kinda figured that.. what if it was more of a machine gun scenerio? if u had a mounted posituon and it took a box of 10 round mags u could shoot 100 shots as it cycled through? not sure how fast it could work?

Those mounted position weapons are generally fed from a belt of ammo that come out if a large box that often holds thousands of rounds all linked together. The links fall apart as they feed through the weapon. I have seen them in 1000 round boxes for field use on a crew served carry weapon.

If you practice reloads you can swap mags really fucking fast. If you count rounds you can keep one in the chamber and never be empty. Practice reloads at home while watching TV or whatever. Find a friendly range that'll let you practice. Compete in 3gun. Yes, having capacity is an advantage but lower capacity mags are a disadvantage that training and practice can mitigate to a certain extent.
