No we should embrace it and flood the churches with information on how this os really a fight against evil and how the Democrats represent the largest of evil. This tax exempt issue has neutered what should be the largest coalition of Christians to Vote as a block. If you want to see a rebellion, keep this train moving.

No. Separation of Church and state is about keeping the Federal government out of religion, not the other way around. The Founders wanted to avoid a Church of England situation, while allowing the individual States to found their own state churches if desired. It was expected that churches would be involved in government.

501(c)3 charities can promote political issues, so long as they don't name any candidate. Because everything worth caring about eventually becomes a political issue.

If this magazine referred to Trump by name, and if they're a 501(c)3 exempt entity, then the've violated IRS rules. One of the first things Trump did (the day after inauguration, iirc) was register as a candidate for re-election. I think that was to shut up every libtard church minister praying for his destruction.

Apparently, the one time this has ever even become an issue is when a church took out a full-page ad for a politician in a newspaper.

If the government decided bibles were no longer allowed (as China has done), would you expect churches to remain silent because it is a "political issue"? Neutrality is a myth and any political issue will be subject to a person's worldview/religious views.

i guess thats different because its a core tenant of the freedom of religion layed out in the constitution. There is no constitutional law that grants charities tax exempt status
