Ubuntu. I use this OS on most of my computers and I'm able to watch Netflix (https://insights.ubuntu.com/2014/10/10/watch-netflix-in-ubuntu-today/) and use an iTunes alternative (http://www.ubuntufree.com/top-5-itunes-alternatives-on-ubuntu-14-04/). I use Libreoffice, Version: 4.2.8.2, without any issues accessing MS Office documents.

Ubuntu is not Windows so there is a learning curve. One of the best features of Linux base OS's is that if you mess up your installation, you can reinstall the OS and all your pictures, documents and music will still be there.

I'm sorry I havent used linux in quite a while but from the way it was a few years ago it will be nearly impossible to use some of the apps. Itunes more than likely wont work. MSOffice can be replaced by other office tools that can save in the same formats and are free. Netflix uses silverlight which is not supported by linux :(. Minecraft and wow you might have good luck with.

If you are really interested in linux it might make sense to install it ona seperate drive or partition so that you can use windows for the apps you need. This will allow you to boot to either and give you training time to mess around with linux.

I would say any of the big distros would work for you. From unbuntu to fedora to openSUSE. I used openSUSE and I really liked it. Unbuntu is the largest which might help you get more support. You can download the ISO from http://www.ubuntu.com/ . If you need help learning how to install it alongside your current os I can provide the guides.
