I guess I am just used to being away from the platform. Every time someone tells me to check their business on Facebook I tell them "Unfortunately I can't go to your website because Facebook has banned me for thinking incorrectly. Please consider setting up your own website so everyone can access it." Half the time in libtown they look at me like I am the evil one.

To worry about what other people have going on, to make it sound like they have something going on themselves.

It was Harvard to start. If you wanted to be in the club, you had to have a Harvard email address. Then it was ivy leagues, then any college, then any country. They made it really hard for people to leave because it became such a part of people's life. Photos, friends, lost connections, relationships, history... now it is just a place were genx posts pictures of frenchies and taco Tuesday.

the ability to connect/reconnect with everyone from our past was too tempting. This opportunity had never happened before. Myspace did exist, but it wasn't as good. Facebook was all.

It had to have something to do with mainstream media.
I was not paying enough attention back then.
I am sure there are some of you here who understood at the time what was happening.
