the ability to connect/reconnect with everyone from our past was too tempting. This opportunity had never happened before. Myspace did exist, but it wasn't as good. Facebook was all.
Smart phones barely existed when it was college students only, so it was more of a secret club for students. Think about it. No email in your pocket. Facebook didn’t exist when you were away from your computer. It was the first real way of us organizing in groups in real time since the party line. Suddenly we could coordinate a dozen people to meet up. This was huge. MSM was completely clueless for years.

I never did. I found I already had an account complete with my picture uploaded. My ex decided for me it was necessary but informing me apparently wasn't necessary.
