My Surface got it before my desktop and my desktop signed up for it a week before my surface did. It's ok though I rather test things out on the Surface before I put it on my desktop anyways.

It looks like you're upgrading from Windows 7. Good luck!

I had trouble with teh tech preview because I couldn't do it from boot - it didnt like my HDD drivers. But I got a copy that ran from in windows on an ISO and it was no problem. You should be fine.

The majority of computers will not have issues, but there have been some Windows 7 machines for which the Windows 10 drivers weren't fully stable for particular hardware, but if you are doing the upgrade, Microsoft already scanned your computer and didn't detect any issues. Do let us know how it went, and the good thing is you have another computer so it's not like we'll have you disappear.

A bit of advice - if the machine has a blank screen for 30 minutes or something, don't panic, don't shut it off. If you see the hard drive light being active, even intermittently, it's busy. Do not interrupt it. Some people have had an upgrade take hours and come through fine on the other end.
