Deeper and deeper we dive into the depths of depravity. Army desperate, scraping bottom of the cesspool for personnel....

"42-year-old Marc Dominguez -who served in the Army as a Private first class from 2003 to 2004- reportedly attacked US Army veteran Edward Villalobos and his active duty friend with a knife after they questioned his “jacked up” uniform, which included green Class A’s and a Marine service cap."
"Villalobos and a fellow soldier questioned the authenticity of the man’s alleged service, presumably because he was wearing the uniform incorrectly.
"Dominguez -who only served about a year in the infantry- became angry and stabbed the men."
"While the Pentagon confirmed Dominguez’s service it is to be noted that he only served from February 2003 to August 2004 and was awarded only three ribbons during his term- the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Paladino is glad that Dominguez -who is currently being held on $30,000 bail- is off the street and chastised him for his behavior."
Geedunk medals. Legitimate but mostly are present to add some color to the uniform and assists with informing others when you were on active duty.
The National Defense Service Medal is a give-away ribbon/medal that is mere ornamentation that, at best, states you can put up with boot camp bullshit enough to graduate the damn thing. Well, that does count for a little something since some fuckers can't make it through boot camp.
"Air Force's recruit attrition rate dropped from 8.8 percent in fiscal 1999 to 7.1 percent so far this year."
"The services report that most recruits fail to complete basic training for medical reasons, including injuries and previously undisclosed physical or mental conditions, and other performance-related issues. "
Our boot camp company had one dude slice his wrists in the dead of night and was found unconscious by a boot on guard duty. Shower stall was filled with blood and he was whiter than hell. Looked dead to me. Never heard about it after they hauled him off. Another dude started punching the concrete wall with all his might. Strong guy. Concrete stronger. Hauled off, never heard from again. Later the dude was found hanging from the shower stall water outlet. Used his sea bag strap to hang himself in the dead of night. He looked mighty dead. Off went another one. Dude began jumping up and down on his top rack (bunk, landlubbers) bounce bounce bounce.... most of us in the barracks were watching his shenanigan. Dude was getting a good altitude when he propelled himself up and ti his right and and had his knees pointed down when they impacted the concrete deck. It's a fucking deck in the navy... never a floor. Splat!!!! SCREAM!!!!! keels over in a fetal position screeching away. Cool!!!! You don't see that shit every day. Off he goes. Another one down.
One night the lights cam on and craziness enveloped the barracks as two dudes were hauled off... one White, one Negro. The White from our company and the Negro from the company at the opposite side of the barracks building. Caught by roving patrol in a uncompromising situation in the shower stall (large stall fitting 80 or more ugly stinky fuckers). Company commander ordered a thorough cleansing of that shower using bleach before we secured for the night. Lots of bleach used. Never heard from again. Maybe they became Democrat politicians.
Then there were the medical cases where underlying medical conditions were shown during the physical regimens. Several of those. As the weeks passed the herd thinned. Almost got lonely towards the end.
" Marine Corps officials say recruit attrition went from 15.5 percent in 1998 down to 11.7 percent thus far in 2001. "
"The Navy's recruit attrition rate in 1998 was about 17 percent; now it is about 14 percent"
Some of the dudes simply disappeared. Poof. Gone. Some hit the rack at night and were gone in the AM. Were they aroused by regular navy and told to come with them for discharge proceeding for various reasons? Rumors existed. Past crimes discovered nullifying enlistment. Lying on the entrance paperwork not revealing past shit. Some of us had minor FBI investigations due to the fields we were headed for. A couple of my high school teachers were briefly interviewed. They said very little other than admitting they had been visited. Wondering if one or more of the disappearing ones walked out of the barracks, climbed the fence and headed off to a life of adventure.
"Army officials say recruit attrition has dropped from 19.7 percent in 1998 to around 13.6 percent today. "

18-year-old info. Likely to not alter greatly over recent time. Unsure how things went during the draft years. Guessing it was harder to get out. Of course, boinking bloke in the shower room likely got you out as fast back then as during later years.
In today's PC world admitting a lust for dames may get you accused of eye rape and a dishonorable discharge and labeled a sex offender for life.
Fuck.
