Would the child stop being property at the age of ascension, or only after the father died?

Whenever the property owner releases his property, in accordance with whatever covenant he may have entered into. If the father dies without a will, his next of kin determines what will happen with his property. Practically, most will have covenants or wills dictating what they may or may not do with their children (e.g. married in a church with a plethora of rules regarding children).

Obviously, I don't agree with you, but the best way to learn is to hear from opposing views which are well thought out. I wasn't certain that your view was well examined, but it's clear that it is.
