Yes, it is truly terrifying. I had to read the entire legislation and related legislation for a class and it nullifies the Constitution and Bill of Rights...and no one cares!

The attack on the Twin Towers was, in itself, an event of no consequence. A few buildings fell down. A couple of thousand people died. More devestation happens in your average South American earthquake or mudslide. What was of consequence was all the draconian legislation George W. Bush and his team of neocons rushed through Congress immediately after the event. That is what had lasting consequences. That is what changed the lives of every American, not the actual terrorist attacks.
