At first I just thought that some ISIS guy threw a dart at a map of the US and wrote down whatever city he hit. But now that I think about it more, wouldn't it be more effective to hit small-town America? Cause chaos and fear in the smaller cities that think they're immune to terrorist attacks?

I was half expecting it to be the most populated cities and they were just doing some PR campaign of terror. But to hit small town America, randomly, for no reason would drive the country into a panic.

When I saw Barkhamsted, CT on the list I knew that they had no idea what they were doing.

I wonder if these towns were chosen for having high Muslim populations, or if they are just cities where air force personnel who work on drone campaigns happen to live. If it's the former, it was done with hopes that SOMEONE would hear the message and do it. If it's the latter, it's much more specific targets which means they're counting on a rather sophisticated coordination of resources.
Probably a mix between the two. Sending out a large blanket request in the hopes of attracting the attention of a psychotic lone wolf or two.

Or Detroit.
EDIT: I see Dearborn Heights is on there. Guess that's as close as they want to get.
