Trump represents the full cycle, really. New Amsterdam -- great city, built by northern and western Europeans. Great ocean access. Hell in the winter. Dutch traders and shippers. Perfect for finishing and packing products from New England, Chicago, upstate NY and elsewhere for shipping to Europe. All that accounting, paperwork, banking, general business -- great financial center. The Empire State.
That is, until the Democrats got themselves organized post civil war. By the 1920's NY had become the ideal center for organized crime. Trump's class of business oriented people started seriously getting out after WWI. Trump symbolizes that tough and stubborn Yankee in him that hung on to stay and fight. Like I say, his leaving closes a hundred year cycle. Similar things are happening in California. The real story is not so much that the well off carry the tax load, as it is that 60% or so pay very little or nothing. The Democrats know all this. That's one of the main reasons for this sudden love affair with communism. They're desperate.

While we are on the subject of Wall Street, by driving out the old WASP establishment, or believing they will or have, the great unwashed of southern Europe and the Mediterranean, believe they can simply replace American culture and industry with their own, a kind of revived global empire.
I think they can harass him for years after leaving NY like they did to Rush Limbaugh. Rush had to prove to NY he didn't make any money or own any property in NY in order to avoid filing each year in NY even though he didn't live there!!! And that was about 15 years after leaving NY! The way he told it they read the law as he was essentially guilty, would have to prove his own innocence. Outrageous. They will harass the whole Trump family and their businesses, friends, associates ... until the day the corruption is addressed or NY goes red.

Can't blame him! Now watch the dems howl when he sells his penthouse for a few million $ profit! I hope he moves his businesses from there too, but he probably has too much real estate to make a clean break.

New York is the next California.

Where does upstate and western NY fit into this picture? I've heard the up state is tiring of New York's act.

What was the straw that broke the camel's back? DeBlasio? AOC? Or, was it the 2019 tax year?

Probably the distraction of being POTUS. These clowns were like gnats constantly biting his ankles, they have become much more annoying since the new NY AG was elected and green lighted to punish Trump. Perpetual frivolous lawsuits.
Watch NY blame Trump for their tax revenue shortfalls next.

Probably right about that. When he was toughing it out in New York real estate, his business was dealing with those a-h-s. Then, at 73, he's confronted with a whole new kind of crazy. Especially New Yorkers, who always feel they have to do one better, including being the most corrupt. When the Mafia came to America, they didn't just pull the names NYC/Chicago out of a hat.

Amazing how Twitter has been completely occupied by leftists. It has been a test case of population replacement. Read the comments. That's all been done over the past 18 months, basically, since Veritas exposed Twitter, it has had no reason to hide it.
