US piggy bank drying up? Cash shortage? Won’t pay embassy staff? Short term strike? All Israeli embassy workers globally temporarily furloughed? Obviously this ties to the drop of something big. Is this to protect them against a FF or something about negative news?… /nVJb9wcTK3"

They are relocating their staff for their safety. That's the only reason any embassies are closed.

This looks like a preemptive move before some seriously damaging truth is dropped!

But that's a long list so who knows what's coming.

I will have my eyes open for other news that can shed a light. Asking the question starts the process.

89 US Senators have American / Israeli dual citizenship. Perhaps the closure of embassies will prevent one or more of them from claiming asylum when the hammer falls.

I agree.

Judging from this announcement of worldwide embassy closures, does this mean that the hammer is being raised, ready for a heavy blow ?

I find it somewhat astonishing that 89% of Senate has dual citizenship at all, much less to one other country.

Dual citizenship isn’t supposed to be legal in the U.S. but of course the SCOTUS buggered that up in 1967.
