You need to learn to amplifier better. With today's overheated music (see Loudness War for reference), the high dynamic compression gives your audio equipment no room to absorb all the extra power/cone movement when you turn the volume up to 11. If you run your volume higher than about 80% of its rating, you will shorten the life of the equipment and add more distortion than that shitty dynamic compression already does. Optimally you want to run at about 71% (RMS sweet spot) which should give most equipment room to breathe unless the manufacturer did stupid things. Stop pushing your amp to 11 and maybe you will have better sounds and longer sub woofer life.
