Hah I just got into it with my wife about it. I allowed her one pic to be posted on her facebook. No more. There was a discussion before she got here about posting family shit on facebook.

Sorry you did it in a hospital, but congratulations anyway.

School me please. Why not do it in a hospital and how should I do it?

Why do it in a hospital? Is someone sick, or has a problem been detected?
Midwives are the traditional care providers for mothers and infants. Midwives are trained professionals with expertise and skills in supporting women to maintain healthy pregnancies and have optimal births and recoveries during the postpartum period. Midwives provide women with individualized care uniquely suited to their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs. - https://mana.org/about-midwives/what-is-a-midwife
This might not be the best source, but it's a start. We had a midwife, and she provided all normal medical care, including scans, testing, nutritional advice, and support. 20 years ago, the full cost for the whole pregnancy and birth was $3,000. We did it in our bed. After he was out and cleaned up, they (+assistant) changed the bedding and we were all asleep in our own bed within 45 minutes. Highly recommended.
*There was no one present who felt compelled to inject him with vaccines, or do any of that other hospital bullshit.
**Should also point out our midwife had hospital access in case a problem was detected, like a breach birth, or anything else that might cause complications.

Read to your child from infanthood. Every night. Get cool picture books with big colorful pictures and few words---I started with Dr Seuss stuff and "Where the Wild Things Are". Just start with three or four books, reading one a night, then a couple a night as the child grows. Read dramatically and fun, and move your fingers under the words. By the time she's three she will be reading to you. Introduce her to the local library and help her pick out cool stuff. Give books for birthdays and Christmas, never too many at a time. Make her look forward to book time before bed each night. Start early so it's all she'll know. Advance the vocabulary as you go. "Stinky Cheese Man" was an early favorite. The bonding will blow your mind.
I used k12.com for homeschooling. Everything you need to do it right. Put your child on your knee and go at it. You will see the lights come on behind her eyes.
In the 8th grade, my kids decided they wanted to be in the band, and since we had recently moved to a top-notch school district, I allowed it. They graduated at the very top of their classes while taking Advanced Placement classes. Free rides at the colleges of their choice...and since I taught them, they are well aware of history, current events, and the liberal sjw atmosphere of the college campuses.
I occasionally still read to them. Mostly horror stuff like HPL and Stephen King now.
A solid base in respect for and faith in The Creator will forge a tight-knit family.
And have many more.
