I dunno about 8 year Supreme Court justices. It's already hard enough to keep the Conservatives on. You don't want a Liberal coming in every fucking 8 years with a new shit-ass Dem president.

I agree. That much turn over in the SC has the potential to cause absolute chaos. But for congress, absolutely. And zero retirement. You serve then you are out, none of this lifetime benefits b.s.

For Congress/Senate, absolutely. Get cooks like Nancy Pelosi the fuck out of there. There's zero reason being a politician should be looked at as a career aspiration.

I like 10 for congress/senate, and 25 for supreme court justices. A decade in office sounds good, and is about the right time to have some form of impact long term.

I generally agree, but a Senate term is 6 years (should be dropped to 3 or 4). I'd be okay with a two-tern senator becoming president, or someone like Trey Gowdy serving on SCOTUS for a few years. Without the possibility for at least one reelection, there's no incentive for a sitting politician not to completely ignore the taxpayers one they're in office.
