The country's historic approach to the indigenous American Indian continues to be a tragic example of severe cultural abuse. Instead of teaching these once proud people to care for themselves, we placed them in internment camps and destroyed their souls.

If you want to see an example of race realism go to an Indian reservation. The government does not make the man.

Could make the same argument about trailer trash whites of Appalachia.
Distribution curve comparison with equal population distribution representation would be a better point to have made. Indian reservations account for a super majority of the "american indian" population whereas the trailer trash whites of appalachia are a small fraction of the over arching whole.
I love our people wherever they are on the curve.

Property rights is the cure. Deed the ownership of their native lands to them and let them do what comes natural to most human beings, pride in ownership and self determination. Why would anyone care about putting their blood, sweat and labor into land they do not own? The short answer is; They wouldn't.

Americans own America. They immigrated here too, so we are just as "native" as they are. We fought and won. The land is ours.
If we really wanted to help we would eliminate reservations completely and facilitate assimilation.

If you think about it. America native indians did live a life of socialism. There wasn't any money. No stores. No banks. No home depot.
No Speedway gas stations. So how did they survive? Each person had his duty and did it. Each pulled his load for the tribe. Sure. Some were lazy and I bet they got their ass kicked or excommunicated from the group. I bet they cared for the sick, the crippled, the retarded or slow ones. That is socialism. The reason it doesn't work in modern society is because of MONEY and too many people.
Think about it. The hippies were right. It can work if the establishment is removed. The perpetual, ever sucking establishment.

This is hippy nonsense...plenty of "tribes" were just marauding murderers too or over fished/farmed/hunted. This noble savage shit is ridiculous
