Leave 5 star reviews talking about how flatulent and creepy the staff were.

Those seem to get through the filters. I once had a review of a bagel place that employed illegals be entirely flash fiction about a conversation with the owner where he'd fingerbang his staff then dip his hand in the everything bagel spice stay at the top.of the list for month since it was a 5 star review.

They probably all go around their office singing "Everything Is Awesome!" and pretend some motels aren't shitholes.

TripAdvisor has been shit for a long time. All the highest ranked places give you stuff for a high rating. It used to be good, but it's all fake bullshit now. The only places you can sort of trust there are things that dont' have paid admission, like parks and landmarks.

I left about 30 reviews for my Amazon purchase history a while back. They were all positive, then i got to a negative one and they wouldn't allow me to post it.

Well that is easy to explain.

If you bought an item from and individual that sent the product to Amazon (so it qualifed for prime) it's called FBA then Amazon would erase the feedback and take the hit.

It's part of the service we as sellers on Amazon pay for with FBA. Usually around 17% of the sell price of the item.

Protip for you if you want to get started in resell on Amazon because you can make money.

Apply for the food pantry seller sections. Dude you would be amazed how much fucking money I make off the pumpkin spice bullshit. Also the special release shit from some snack cakes......

What people do is have it sent to a drop shipper and forwarded to them over seas.

Usually clear around 4k a month in secondary income. Just by purging inventory with local distributors.

Whilst travelling in Nepal about 6 years ago, I was working in a small guesthouse who was in TripAdvisor's top ten rank for that city. They called us up and asked if we wanted to upgrade the page for a fee, with the idea it would give us more control and encourage more visitors. After declining, the ranking slipped into the 30's. I haven't trusted them since.

It's basically "pay our "protection" fee, or we start posting negative reviews to tank your rating."

Well that pretty much defeats the purpose of the app.

the purpose of the app was to make money for the developer, it was never intended to provide honest reviews
