They would have been better to have presented a jar of giblets and said it was him rather than the obvious "dump him in the ocean" bullshit

Perhaps, but it is also worth considering exactly how McRaven became an Admiral and went on to become a 4-Star flag officer.
I served under McRaven, I know him, and I can tell you that he is without any doubt - 100% politician. He did not become a politician once he became a flag officer, rather he climbed the military rank structure as a politician.....because he was a politician. He flourished under Obama...who gave him his 4th Star and appointed him Commander of USSOCOM, when any free-thinking senior officer was purged from the military by Obama. He has repeatedly expressed undying support for the traitorous former CIA Director John O. Brennan and Time Magazine previously named McRaven "Man of the Year". That should tell everyone something.
How many flag officers in any service do you really think we have who are not "gut-eating politicians" who will do as told by political masters for the next promotion or "golden parachute".....and are permanently indebted to - if not a card carrying member of the 'politburo". Do civilians really think every "suck-ass" flag officer is an authority on military operations or a hero to be admired? Get real. I can count on one hand the flag officers who I truly respect. You do not make flag officer without being a "team player" which is the code word for "yes man".

Spartan: After serving 20 years in the USN that's exactly how I've always seen it ... if you make O-5 you have to become of member of "the club" from that point on. They are indeed "politicians in uniform". Not always, but in general you won't make O-6 (or higher) unless you're a member of "the club". And that club likes to promote from within -- kind of makes it self-sustaining.
IMO that elite "club" consists 80%+ of ass-kissers and yes-men. And that's how I see McRaven and several others I can name. Many (most?) of the hard-core "warrior class" were cashiered for one reason or another under Obama and to be honest, to a lesser degree under "W" and Slick-Willy with the initial purge beginning after Tailhook '91.

Best post I've read here in a long time - and absolutely true.

Not only a yes man, but a wimpy-looking one too. Not a bit of Alpha in that guy. I was wondering how he achieved rank.

You don't rise way up the ranks in the military by being an alpha...did you not just read what you responded to?

Patriot, I suspect this is why they got rid of Seal Team 6, so the truth would never get out, never SOP to hover over a hot LZ for 15 minutes. and air support was denied assistance to the CH 47 when they saw the enemy approaching that Helo. when I read the article it smelled like a set up .

On Trump winning re-election I think shortly after that will be the time for Americans in general, not the relatively few awake, to know the government and press have been completely lying to them essentially their entire lives.
That may be why the JFK reveal we thought we were getting, wasn't. It wasn't time yet for the "Running Man" reveal.
JFK, 9/11, bin Laden... that's about all that's needed for people to learn the Deep State / MSM / Politician class has been COMPLETELY corrupt and must be swept away entirely, and is entirely deserving of long prison terms or even execution after lawful trial, and/or that military tribunals are completely justified.
A hell of a lot of people already think in their heads the government lied to them about JFK and 9/11, but there's a dissociation, they are not living as if they actually know it. They still love Big Brother. That must be broken and it will take a master in psychology and persuasion, a master showman so to speak with a masterful script and undeniable presentation of facts to break it.
