I'd equally like to see a "What the world would look like through [insert liberal news source here]'s eyes." post. I'd imagine a Tumblr like universe.

It is on at the restaurant I work at. The news part is standard. However it is majority "opinion" and "editorial" tv. It is awful most times, and vile most of the rest.
O'Reilly screaming at people for no reason. Glen Beck was absolutely insane. Look up the video of his interview after he left. He even admits "When you live your life 5 hours a day on live television and radio you're going to say stupid things," Beck said.
Did you not watch during any of the Ferguson coverage? Or hell, Hurricane Katrina coverage? That was the worst of the worst. That makes any "debate" (screamig match) over "Obamacare death panels" look like childsplay.

Before you jump to any conclusions, no don't think that this makes me liberal, or a over of MSNBC or anything like that. I am strictly talking about how awful Fox News is in this instance. If you want I can tell you why MSNBC is awful too but that has nothing to do with your comment.

im not saying that fox news is this amazing non partison bastion of journalistic integrity. What I'm saying is 99.9% of the content is not racist. Unfortunately calling rioters criminals and saying that wealth redistribution is theft is "racist" in this day and age. Also, fox is no more biased than any other news station as you mentioned. It is simply a conservative counter part to the other liberal stations.

if you think that watching fox is any different than watching cnn as far as journalism goes, you're lying to yourself.

That is very very tame as far as Fox shaming goes. To actually reflect how the internet thinks about Fox reporting, the black guy should be robbing a store, the arab guy should be waving a bomb, and the mexican guy should be raping a girl.

I enjoy catching the O'Reilly Factor every so often. It's a powerful reminder of how pandering to ignorance and fear is both dangerous and effective.

Every few weeks I come across an older white dude who will be fishing for me to discuss some hot button topic(last time it was the family of the guy choked out by a cop in SI getting a 6 million dollar settlement.) They fume on about it and are usually visibly upset like they just had an altercation and are still on a rage filled adrenalin rush. Usually I will say something I think is pretty innocuous such as "yes, the guy was grossly over weight and yes, he was breaking the law but I think that cop went a little over board choking him out. Is there not some sort of protocol for the cops to proceed in such cases?" To which angry old guy freaks out and declares me a raging liberal and says he cannot talk to me anymore. This is usually where I suggest that they take 2 weeks off from fox news. It just gets people too fired up and upset, that is not healthy.
