I recently heard the income tax was a scheme made up to compensate for losses from alcohol tax during prohibition.

That wouldn't make sense as it was in place 7 years before prohibition.

Everyone is welcome to redistribute their wealth to me.

I'll make white babies and guns.

Even the term *redistribution" is bullshit. How could it be RE distributed.... if the wealth was never even "distributed" in the first place! It was earned. Not distributed. The money wasn't fucking passed out to various people... Screwing over the little guy....

This term is simply more Jewish word games. Don't play them.

That and CGT and IHT. Changes in intergenerational wealth are the biggest stumbling block to communist domination.

Two thirds of states must agree to ratify a new ammendment to the constitution. When Income Tax was passed in 1913 (what else happened that year?), that requirement was NOT met.

It's illegal. Either way, Fiat should be escaped from. You have a very simple alternative - precious metals and bitcoin.

Not to mention the power to flood the money when the party in power pleases the fed and tighten the supply when it does not, all without answering to the American people in the slightest.

If raising taxes screwed over the rich then they wouldn't raise taxes. For pretending to be the laborer's party, the left likes to use the fruits of other peoples labor for their own purpose. Nothing says compassionate like stealing someone elses income under threat of imprisonment to give to someone who doesn't work, and is quite frequently not a native citizen.
